CMRL rolls out shuttle services

All-new shuttle service is to get rolled out by the Chennai Metro Rail. The CMRL has joined hands with Ford, a leading automobile player for the same. This shuttle service shall connect travelers from Alandur station till the IT corridor in the OMR stretch. On Wednesday, there were 5 vehicles being functional on trial basis starting from Alandur metro station. This office ride is initiated to provide better transportation facility to the IT professionals so that it is easy for them to go to and fro business parks and hubs.
Soon, these services shall get expanded to the other metro stations as well like the Anna Nagar east, Anna Nagar Tower, Ashok Nagar, Koyambedu, AG-DMS, etc.
The first trip shall start at 8 am and it will continue until noon, and again starting from 5 pm till 9 pm, these trips will be available. You can plan your journey in these shuttle trips just the way you book with Uber, Ola or other cab booking services.
Users can pay for their rides via mobile phone or through any digital means such as digital wallet or internet banking, credit or debit cards.
To note, there are share taxis, share autos, tempo feeders, zoom car services, electric auto services, bicycle schemes, and much more introduced by the CMRL to facilitate the commuters.
