TNPSC sets deadline for personal data of the applicants for Group-4 examinations

TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission) has announced that those candidates who had applied for writing Group-4 examinations interested in making any changes in the personal data such as date of birth, gender, caste, status as a destitute widow, ex-military personnel, and differently-abled cadre have to complete the same before 10th January 2018.
M. Vijayakumar, The Secretary of TNPSC has stated:
Earlier, the last date for application for writing TNPSC’s Group-4 examinations to fill up the 9351 vacant posts (covering various posts and Village Administration Officers) was set as 20th December 2017.
For the applications made online, a facility for the applicants to carry out any changes in their personal data such as academic qualifications or technical qualifications till the last date had been provided.
Still, several applicants have appealed that they have not entered the correct personal data such as date of birth, gender, caste, status as a destitute widow, status as ex-military personnel and the status as differently-abled cadre.
Though it had been already generally clarified no action will be taken on these applications, giving due consideration to the welfare of the village students and also the minimum required academic qualifications, TNPSC had decided that as a special case, the appeal of the candidates can be reviewed only for this specific test.
So, in case the applicants are interested in carrying out any changes in their personal data such as date of birth, gender, caste, status as destitute widow, status as ex-military personnel, and status as differently-abled cadre, can download the attachment from www.tnpscexams.net OR www.tnpscexams.in and fill up the same and sign the filled downloaded form and send it only by post to reach the TNPSC office before 10th January 2018. Please note that this request sent as an email will not be taken up for scrutiny.
As a general rule, as the facility has already been provided for the applicants to carry out changes in the personal data till the last date of application, any appeal to make changes in applications will not be entertained/reviewed.
As a month’s time is required to conduct the above Group-4 examinations, no action will be taken on the applications received after 10th January. Please note that the facility to carry changed in personal data is only for applications for Group-4 examinations. In other cases, any appeal to carry out changes in personal data should be sent as a separate email.
