Holiday today (2nd Nov) for all schools in Chennai, Kanchipuram & Tiruvallur

Subsequent to the severe warning and the weather forecast of very heavy rains, all the schools in Chennai, Kanchipuram, and Tiruvallur districts will have a holiday today (Thursday, 2nd November).
It may be observed that this is the 3rd successive holiday declared by the state government for schools as they were closed on 31st October as well 1st November. The respective district collectors have initiated this action.
District collectors of Nagai, Thiruvarur, and Tirunelveli also declared holiday for schools today (Nov 2).
