Prospects of rain in the nights in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry

The director of the Chennai Meteorological Centre informed that the intensity of heat will reduce gradually in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. There are prospects of rain in the nights.
The onset of the southwest monsoon, which commenced in Kerala, has now spread to the northern states of the country via Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. This has led to a cloudy climate in Tamil Nadu and also a good reduction in the heat level.
The director of the centre explained it is a general trend for the heat level to come down during the month of June. The intensity of heat will reduce further in the coming days in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
There are prospects of rain in the next 24 hours in a few places in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry due to a recent formation of a thermal convection.
Chennai will remain somewhat cloudy. There might be a light drizzle in the evening or night.
