RBI launches mobile version of its website

Today, the Reserve Bank of India has officially launched a mobile application version of its website. This is available on Android and iOS platform.
To download the app, search for the keyword Reserve Bank of India on Google Play Store or App Store.
What is the app useful for?
The app comprises of the most important sections of RBI website. This includes press releases, IFSC or MICR codes, bank holiday details, present rates including that of policy rates, and reference for four main currencies. All these are available on the app.
A dynamic window on the top of the landing page also pops up awareness messages. There are three awareness messages including the new Rs 2000 currency note, Rs 500 denominations and the RBI message about KYC under RBI Kehta Hai series, according to the central bank sources.
When any of these is clicked, one can get access to full text of public awareness. A push notification feature is also activated and this when done will keep displaying alert on new releases.
