New facility at Chennai Egmore railway station

Suresh Prabhu, the central railway minister, while filing budget at the parliament on 25th of February 2016, announced that all baby essentials including hot milk, hot water, milk powder, etc will be made available at railway stations. This was given the title Janani Seva.
Necessary works to bring this into effect at major railway stations have been taking place in the past few days. Today, the Janani Seva is being introduced in a few railway stations including Chennai Egmore.
This is launched at a shop on 4th platform in Egmore railway station, Chennai. Here, baby essentials including milk powder, milk bottle, hot water, hot milk, etc are made available for sale.
Speaking about this, the kiosk owner said this system is launched as per railway minister’s announcement. The railway department officials have informed us about all the baby products that are to be sold here. We have plans to make them all available hassle-free.
