The Agri scientist Dr M S Swaminathan has been felicitated with Sadhana Award for Excellence by Samudhaaya Foundation. The award is as a part of recognizing M S Swaminathan’s decade long service to the people of the nation in Food sector. The function was organized to celebrated the 10th anniversary of the foundation. Gopalkrishna Gandhi, West Bengal Governor and a Grandson of Mahatma Gandhi said while addressing the gathering that Inequality in the country were increasing and both involvement and indifference to social causes are increasing simultaneously. The State should take initiatives to intervene with contributions from individuals. Sudha Raghunathan, the Managing Trustee of the Foundation, Dr MSS, and Mr. Gandhi presented cheques to institutes working in the social sector.
