NEW DEVICE TO PREDICT IMMINENT CLIMATE CHANGES

Plans are afoot to provide new system by which climate conditions can be predicted for a short period said YEA Raj, Deputy Director General of Meteorological Center here on Tuesday. He was addressing in a fuction organized as a part of World Meteorological Day , said that the service could be used to forecast weather changes in a particular locality ;this would helpful in planning travels. He further said that Doppler radar used could be used for prediction of weather condition in area spanning 100 Kms of Radius .
He further said that measures were being taken to set up 25 automatic rain gauge stations in the city.
