Role Models to attract students to science subjects

K C Pandey, President, Indian Science Congress Association said that a young scientist could be roped in as a Brand Ambassador to make the science subjects interesting and attractive to students. ISCA was discussing the methods to attract students to science subject as interest in Science subjects was waning because students were looking elsewhere for lucrative career. Presently only Abdul Kalam is looked upon as a role model. The country need more scientists, those who have got Nobel prize could be projected and would serve good role models. With Indian economy is firing, but for the pranks of some people in the society, India needs more scientist in farm sector. The day India starts to export food products in a big way and we become self sufficient, India will be a super power. India’s human talent or workforce is the best in the world especially the Tamilians- knowledge workers
