JUTE FESTIVAL IN THE CITY

The Jute Manufacturers Development Council, a
statutory body under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India is planning
to organize Jute Festival in the City .Dayanidhi Maran, Union Minister for
Handlooms and Textiles announced this when he inaugurated Four day exhibition
cum sale of lifestyle jute decorative products. The jute Festival scheduled to
be organized in different parts of the country is aiming to dispel the
misconception that Jute is used only for making gunny bags.
