The state government department of school education released an order indicating that Saturday, 26th October, the day before the Deepavali festival on Sunday, 27th October is also a holiday.

Tamil Nadu State Government Department of school education has suggested to private schools located on the OMR to decide by themselves whether to declare a holiday to schools.
