GCC Commissioner: Orders to close only public gathering avenues - no ban for food shops!
The Greater Chennai Corporation Commissioner Prakash informed that only the public places where the people gather in large numbers have been asked to close! There are no blocks for the food shops to operate!

Coronavirus: Greater Chennai Corporation orders malls closed!
The Commissioner of the Greater Chennai Corporation, Prakash, has informed that as an immediate preventive measure against coronavirus spread, all the shops in T Nagar Ranganathan Street must be closed for 10 days.

In Chennai railway stations like Egmore, Central and Tambaram etc, platform ticket rates increased
The order was issued by the Chennai railway division to increase the platform ticket rate from Rs 10 per head to Rs 50 per head in 3 stations like Tambaram, Egmore and Chennai Central.

First solar plant at Chembarambakkam to be installed by MWD
By the middle of May month, Chennai metro water is likely to get its first solar plant and it would be constructed at the premises of Chembarambakkam water treatment plant.
