First phase counselling for MBBS and BDS courses were over in Tamil Nadu. Classes for the candidates who were admitted are underway. The second phase of counselling for MBBS and BDS courses.

New fee structure for B.Ed. Course
A new fee structure is introduced for B.Ed. Course in private colleges.The students will have to pay more as compared to the fees for the last year.A new fee structure was fixed as per the Justice Balasubramanian.

IIT-Madras ranks no 1 in consultancy projects
According to the Union HRD ministrys National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) report for 2016, The Indian Institute of Technology-Madras (IIT-M) has bagged consultancy projects worth Rs 173.56 crore over the past.
