For the first time a 10 days book fair is being organized at Thoothukudi from today. The entry for this book fair which is being organized at A V M Kamalavel Mandapam is free. There will be 90 stalls.

Librarian recruitment: TNPSC to hold certificate verification and interview on 4th and 5th October
Applications were invited by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission for the posts of librarian and assistant librarian. This notification for the 29 vacancies was issued on 25.06.12.

Samakalvi Iyakkam finds out that 37 percent schools have thatched roof in Tamil Nadu
Chella Sivakumar, State general secretary of Samakalvi Iyakkam said that his organization carried out a study across 155 government schools in 15 districts including Chennai, Ramanathapuram.

Hindi teachers may lose their jobs in CBSE schools in Tamil Nadu
In Tamil Nadu, CBSE has made Tamil language compulsory in their schools and because of this there is danger of Hindi teachers losing their jobs.A Government Order of September 18 has brought all schools under the purview.
