Subject-wise quota for +1 and +2 admissions
The Director of School Education, Mr. R. Ilangovan, has ordered that subject-wise quota based on the chosen elective subjects for seats must be adopted for admission to the +1 and +2 classes.

Counselling for engineering and technology admission with SRM University will begin on 14th May.

No changes in syllabus for +1 this year
The minister for school education, Mr. K. A. Sengottaiyan informed that there is no change in the syllabus for +1 classes.

CTET examinations only once a year henceforth
A decision has been taken to conduct the CTET (Center Teachers Eligibility Test) examinations only once a year doing away with the current routine of 2 CTET examinations each year.

Application to join long-distance education may be sent till 15th May
The Registrar (in-charge) of Chennai University has released a press report. The last date for applying to the long-distance courses has been extended until 15th May for the benefit of the students.
