High Intensity Rains in Cuddalore - Virudachalam belt. No sign of any rains in Chennai till now
The intense spell was expected south of Chennai but has gone to Pondy and south of it. As expected, rains happened in Bangalore, Salem and parts of Thiruvannamalai belt.

Chennai Rains are Possible today because of the unstability in the Atmosphere due to the UAC
With one side UAC off Kerala Coast and UAC off Andhra Coast. The line of instability (broken wind pattern see pic) right across, North TN, South Interior Karnataka and South AP. Chennai - Part of Chennai will get rains.

Temperatures are likely to decline in Tamil Nadu
Since the south west monsoon is to commence soon in Kerala, the intensity of heat in Tamil Nadu is likely to decline.

The Chennai Meteorological centre has informed that the onset of the southwest monsoon rains may be on 4th or 5th June.
