Prospects of the onset of Northeast monsoon season after 15th October
Earlier, there were symptoms noted for the onset of the northeast monsoon rainy season as per the climatic changes in the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal. At that point, it was estimated that the northeast monsoon rainy season may start by 8th October.

Cyclone Titli crosses the coast
The cyclone Titli which formed recently over the Bay of Bengal intensified into a very severe cyclone. However, Tamil Nadu escaped from the fury of this severe cyclone.

Cyclone Titli will intensify and cross the coast tomorrow
The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that the cyclone Titli, presently located at Disa, will intensify further and will cross the coast near Odisha by tomorrow (Thursday, 11th October).

Whether the cyclone Titli turns towards Chennai?
The recently formed cyclone over the Bay of Bengal, named Titli is posing a danger to the Northeast States. The climate experts are in earnest analysis as to whether this cyclone will drift towards Chennai or towards Andhra/Odisha.
