Anna Salai route metro rails are set to open soon

All Women Metro Stations at Shenoy Nagar and Koyambedu
CMRL, as part of empowering women, has introduced all women Metro Station at Shenoy Naga. Station Management activities like Ticketing, Customer Facing and Housekeeping will also be done by women here.

20 Bed R&R facility to be set up at airport metro station in Chennai
A 20 bed R&R (rest and relaxation) facility would be set up at the Chennai airport metro station by AAI or Airport Authority of India. A consultant to design the retiring rooms has been appointed by AAI.

Metro trains to get lit using LED strips
As a move to save electricity and expenses the lighting systems of trains under Chennai Metro Rail Limited are to be changed. At present, these trains are being lit using CFL (Compact Fluorescent Lamps).
