From the middle of 2020, Chennai metro phase-2 work to begin
There are 3 corridors present in the phase-2 is known. It must be taken into account that corridor 3 is from Madhavaram to SIPCOT, corridor 4 from Light House to Poonamallee, Corridor 5 from Madhavaram to Sholinganallur.

Driverless trains on the metro phase-2 corridors in Chennai
In the phase-2, the entire operation of trains would be automatic and CMRL has plans to operate driverless trains in the 3 corridors of 118.9 km phase-2. Information is, trains on phase-1 would be run by drivers.
