Chennaites can take a ride in metro rail in another six months

Chennai Metro rail project is progressing at good speed. Tracks for the elevated corridor of 21 m and 24 m of underground tunnel works are in progress. There will be 13 stations on the elevated corridor and 19 underground railway stations.

Metro rail test run between Ashok Nagar � Alandur
The test run for Chennai�s very first metro rail connecting Koyambedu and Alandur will take place on May 15 following which the train will be made available for the use of public by end of October.

Two more metro trains arrived at Chennai
Two more Chennai Metro Rail Ltd (CMRL) trains arrived Chennai from Alstoms La Pa factory, Brazil. These two trains will be shifted to the Koyambedu depot upon consums clearance.
