Be careful about these foods that would damage your teeth!!

How many of us are aware of the fact that our overall health would get bad if we have poor oral health?

The lives have become hectic these days for the majority of us and we don’t have time to take care of ourselves. Mostly we give importance to our physical health and neglect our oral health. Teeth are very important for us because they play their huge roles in eating, speaking etc. Hence, our teeth must be strong and healthy and we must take huge care to maintain teeth. The foods we eat could also determine our oral health. There are few foods that would damage our teeth.

Various foods that could damage our teeth are

Sugary beverages:
We could get various issues like weight gain, increased blood glucose etc by consuming sugary beverages. Moreover, sugary beverages could also result in acidic damage to teeth. Hence, we must avoid sugary beverages like soft drinks, carbonated drinks, fruit juices etc.

Potato chips etc:
It is believed that starchy foods could get struck in the teeth and could lead to cavities if they are not cleaned well. To keep teeth healthy, we must try to avoid eating potato chips, fries plus starchy foods etc.

Citrus fruits:
The acids that are present in the citrus fruits could damage teeth and we could get issues like tooth decay etc. This could be overcome by rinsing our mouth well with water after consuming citrus fruits.

Dried fruits:
Good for our overall health but not good for our teeth. Dried fruits might offer many health benefits but they are not good for teeth health. Our teeth could become unhealthy if we consume dried fruits that are full of concentrated sugars and gummy texture.

Wine:
Many drink wine these days but the truth is that it would spoil the teeth. Our teeth would get started if we drink wine or coffee tea etc. There are chances of issues like tooth decay and enamel erosion by frequent intake of wine. 

Candies:
Hard candies, gummy candies and chocolates etc are eaten by many kids. It is said frequent consumption of these would result in tooth damage. The presence of unhealthy sugars in these could also be harmful for the health. So, please be careful.

Popcorn:
Not many of us know that popcorn could create issues in the teeth. While eating popcorn they could get struck between our teeth and this could lead to growth of bacteria here.
