The kidneys, in the shape of the flat-beans seed and located in the back of the body, do the vital function in the human body which is removing all the toxic elements in the system through the urine passed!

Apart from the above vital function, the kidneys also perform certain other important functions such as enhancing the production of the red corpuscles in the blood.

Further, kidneys function to remove the germs, waste material, toxic elements, and the excess water in the human body as urine thus performing a vital role in the safety and health of the human body!

However, some habits/routines/lapses we pursue DO ADVERSELY AFFECT THE PROPER FUNCTIONING OF THE KIDNEYS!

Intake of food items with excess salt, consuming insufficient quantum of drinking water, pursuing self-medication, smoking and other habits/routines DO AFFECT THE KIDNEYS! Medical experts observe that this is not to recommend doing away with these habits completely but to reduce them to a desirable extent!

Come - let us have a look at some food items that affect the kidneys:

  • Excess intake of meat can affect the kidneys. Animal meat protein is tough to digest! Thus, the task of removing this excess toxic item falls as an additional burden on the kidneys!
  • Continuous intake of this animal protein can lead to stone formation in the kidneys! Further, animal meat protein induces the production of excess uric acid! So, it is advisable TO AVOID EXCESS INTAKE MEAT!
  • Excess salt in the food items taken can affect the kidneys! Especially, the salt content is excess in most of the processed food items.
  • Thus, the burden of removing the excess sodium chloride falls on the kidneys! So, REDUCE THE QUANTUM OF SALT IN THE FOOD ITEMS! ALSO, AVOID FREQUENT INTAKE OF PROCESSED/PACKAGED FOOD ITEMS!
  • The intake of bananas offers instant energy to the human body! However, bananas, which are good for the body health, IS NOT SO GOOD FOR THE KIDNEYS! THE REASON FOR THIS IS THE RICH PRESENCE OF POTASSIUM IN BANANAS.
  • Note that the excess quantum of potassium in the system affects the functioning of the kidneys!
  • Similarly, some other fruits, such as orange, are rich in potassium. Thus, the kidneys are subjected to the extra burden of work trying to remove the excess potassium. IF THIS CONTINUES, KIDNEYS WILL BE SEVERELY AFFECTED!
  • Dairy items also can affect the kidneys! Dairy items, such as CHEESE, MILK, AND CURD, ARE RICH IN PHOSPHOROUS. THIS ALSO IS AN ADDITIONAL BURDEN FOR THE KIDNEY FUNCTION! SO, IT IS ADVISABLE TO REDUCE THE QUANTUM OF INTAKE OF THESE ITEMS!
