Various health issues we could get when we eat frozen foods frequently

Who would not like to eat delicious bite sized frozen treats!!

It is good if we eat non seasonal foods once in a while but eating frequently could be harmful to the body. We must not get addicted to frozen meat, fruits, veggies etc. The low nutritional quality of these frozen foods is one prime reason why we must not consume these often. Other examples of frozen foods are pizzas, sausages, peas, plain chicken etc. It must be noted that by freezing foods we could preserve the food from the time it was prepared until the time it gets consumed.

By eating frozen foods, we could get these health issues so please be careful.

Risk of diabetes:
To keep the frozen food items fresh starch is added. By adding starch, the food would get tasty plus it would improve the texture of food also. Truth is that before digestion takes place starch gets converted to sugars and any excess sugar could result in diabetes issue.

Risk of heart diseases:
A person who eats frozen foods often could get heart diseases because the trans- fats present in these packed foods could increase the risk of heart disease. The clogging of arteries occurs. Bad cholesterol gets increased and good cholesterol gets lowered due to trans- fats leading to heart diseases. The cholesterol levels get increased due to high sodium present in the frozen foods and it could be dangerous.

Lead to weight gain:
It is important to note that frozen foods are high in fats and the ratio of fats to carbohydrates and proteins is almost double. By consuming frozen foods, a person would put on weight.

Not nutritious:
When compared to fresh foods frozen foods would have lost vitamins and minerals because of freezing food for a long time. As a result, frozen foods have low nutritional value.

Poor taste:
Frozen foods do not have the aroma and taste of a fresh food and the look of these frozen foods are also poorer than the fresh foods. It is said that the crunch and taste of fresh foods cannot be matched by the frozen foods.

Increases BP:
The high amounts of sodium that is present in the frozen foods could lead to high blood pressure or BP. It must be taken into account that intake of too much sodium could lead to other severe health issues like strokes and heart diseases etc.
