For the exhausted parents of a newborn to sleep well, these tips would be useful

Birth of a baby would make every parent feel delighted and parents spend lots of time with their newborn.

It must not be forgotten that taking care of a baby is not that easy and many parents lose their sleeping time for taking care of the baby for feeding, playing etc. A research study has confirmed that nearly 76% of the parents face sleeping problems due to their newborns. It is common for the parents to feel exhausted.

The parents must follow these tips for getting good sleep and by that they could feel fresh.

Sleep when baby sleeps:
In the form of many naps, the babies sleep for nearly 16 hours in a day. It is important that parents must sleep when their baby sleeps. This is one valuable tip for the new parents to get some rest.

By dividing night time duties:
Parents would be able to get good rest if they start dividing their duties towards the baby. Point is that parenting is a two-person job and by dividing night time duties atleast one parent would be able to sleep well.

By placing crib or cradle near the bed:
Parents could get good sleep if they keep the cradle near their bed. It is possible for the parents to get sleep for atleast 6 hours by this.

By practising good sleep hygiene:
Not many parents are aware of this and face sleeping issues. For getting better sleep, parents must avoid consuming stimulants. They must not have caffeine at night time. Truth is that avoiding gadgets at night could be highly beneficial.  It is said that parents adapting a new sleep schedule that works with the baby`s sleep schedule would be good.

By postponing household chores:
It is true that in the beginning it would be tough for the parents to do household chores plus taking care of the newborn simultaneously. Hence, they must avoid doing household chores or postpone it for the sake of their rest. Parents can always seek the help of the family or friends. Parents must never feel shy or afraid to ask the help of family and friends.

By sleep training the baby at right time:
Truth is that this has got mixed opinions. Sleep training the baby at the right time would be of huge benefit for the parents. This could be started as early as when the baby is 4 months old.

By taking the help of paternal or maternal leave:
For developing bonds with the newborn, many parents take maternal and paternal leave etc. It must be noted that parents can have rest in these whenever r possible. Working parents must create their schedule that would of huge benefit atleast in the first 4 months
