  • I hit the bed once the big show is over
  • I hit the bed once my business mails are replied

Well, we are bound by a lot of responsibilities and commitments. And these largely determine our sleep hours and wake hours. Is that right? A lot of people go to the bed after attending to their personal, family and social responsibilities. You can make a lot of wonders happening to you at these hours.

It is however true that your sleeping time also depends on your individual variations. A few people will prefer working in the morning while others will be night owls. Based on the time you sleep during this window, you can fix the wakeup time. Check out and experiment what works the best. In case you automatically wake up about one hour earlier than the alarm bell, try to postpone your bedtime by an hour. Likewise if it is too tough for you fall asleep as you lie down, try to postpone the bedtime a little. If you desperately try to put yourself to sleep for more than half an hour, it means you are trying to sleep earlier than your body wants. Likewise if it is tough for you to stay awake until the fixed bedtime, prepone the time and go to bed earlier.

It is full of trial and experimentations with sleep hours and wakeup hours. Make sure to be consistent with your timings all through the weekdays as well as weekends so that the internal clock is not disturbed in spite of the calendar dates. This little method is going to help you fall asleep and get up at present times and increase your overall productivity and be active throughout your awake period.
