It is known that hunger is a condition when he/she is unable to eat enough food for basic nutritional needs for sustained period of time. When hungry, people may get headaches, there would be lack of concentration etc. There are times when we feel hungry even after taking enough food. This constant hunger could make a person depressed and irritated. We always feel that eating more food to satisfy our hunger would be the solution.

There are few reasons for being hungry always and these are

Stress and anxiety in us:

This could be a reason for being hungry always. Our cortisol levels increase when we are stressed. This could lead to eating more food. This is stress eating and most of us do this at some point of time in our lives.

Infected with worms:

Not many of us are aware of the fact that worm infection could also make us feel more hungry. Tape worm could enter our body through contact with germs or through unhealthy food. It stays in our intestines for a long time without being noticed. This parasite could make us over hungry and as a result we eat more food.

Obesity:

The constant hunger leads to over eating and that could lead to obesity in us and it is a vicious circle. It is worthy to note that when obese the body continues to long to the same unhealthy food. Insulin levels in us are increased by the excess fats and there would be cravings for more food.

Hyperthyroidism:

Many hormones are produced by the over activity of the thyroid glands in us. The metabolic process of our body gets started by too many hormones. It leads to rapid digestion and we feel very hungry in short time.

Not drinking enough water:

For our overall health proper hydration is essential. Apart from providing many health benefits, drinking water could make us feel full. If enough water is not consumed by us then we could feel hungry all the time.

Lack of proper sleep:

For our good health sleeping well is very essential. Sound sleep provides many health benefits.  It must be noted that sleeping enough is a factor and plays a huge role in controlling appetite. Regulating appetite stimulating hormone or ghrelin is possible. Ghrelin levels get increased when we don’t sleep well and this leads to feeling hungry always. Adequate level of leptin is ensured by sleeping well. This leptin is a hormone that promotes feeling full.
