After burning hot summer, would you even say no to enjoy a cool, breezy monsoon season that is awaiting to change your moods? Monsoon is one of the blissful seasons of an year. But the sad part here is that monsoon gives rise to couple of health troubles! Immune diseases, cold, flu, fever and others come piled up during this season.

We do not want you to suffer this season, rather enjoy it to the fullest. We here have for you brilliant ways of staying cool and healthy this monsoon by avoiding commonly uttered mistake.

Do you know? Most of the mistakes we make during monsoon are really silly and can be easily rectified. First and foremost, you need to cook your food right at your home and not opt for outside food at all. Do not laze around your cozy bed. Wear your suit and go on to hit the gym regularly. Follow your diet practices without any break. To avoid visiting the doctor’s clinic, here are few easy steps to follow:

·         Say no to oily foods - The monsoon climate might tempt you to bite a hot, crispy samosa with a tea complementing the taste, wow! But keep in mind that this is not going to serve goodness to your body. These rich in oil items can cause bloating in you and give rise to other digestive troubles

·          Drink plenty of water – this is one of the commonest advices you should be hearing to right from your childhood. When it’s cold around you, chances are that you might not feel thirsty. No matter you feel the thirst or not, drink plenty of water to avoid getting dehydrated. You may doubt the harmful effects of dehydration. When your body gets dehydrated, it gives rise to fluctuations in levels of your blood pressure

·         No drenching in rain - It’s definitely fun to play in the rain, but do not do that. The dirt and pollution in the rain may not be good on you

·         Beware of fever - your fever level may be less, but you shouldn’t be careless. Possibilities are that it may be caused by a mosquito as monsoon is the time for mosquitoes to feel free and breed. Consider it important and visit a doctor’s clinic

·         No excuse on exercise - staying at home with remote in one hand and a book on the other will be a blissful time. But do not forget to hit the gym. Keep your body active and healthy at all times including monsoon

·         5 more minutes please! – Those extra 5 to 10 or even hours together of extra sleep will be heavenly. But avoiding that is better. Do not fall lazy just because the climate is soothing

·         No overeating – overeating and lying down will be blissful. Anyhow, bliss is not your only target. You need to be healthy. Avoid both and stay healthy by consuming what you body needs for its energy and wellbeing!

·         Healthy hygiene is a must – not just your hands, even your legs are prone to bacteria and other microorganisms, especially when you get drenched in rain. Make sure to wash your feet once you get back to home. This will help you in maintaining proper hygiene

·   &       Do not pile up clothes for laundry – Since you do not find enough sunlight to dry your clothes, you may pile them up for washing on a sunny day. Do not ever do this mistake. When your clothes are piled up this way, it will serve as a good space for bacteria to multiply, especially when the clothes are wet. This when worn will create infection on skin

·         Say hello to sun - Do not avoid being under the sun. Sun being the best source for Vitamin D, you need to expose yourself to it whenever you can

Follow these simple tips and avoid the above stated mistakes to enjoy a super fantastic monsoon this year! Cheers!
