Hospitals: Emphasis on using smart needles!

WHO (World Health Organisation) has informed that over lakhs of people are affected by infectious and other diseases when same needle is used for injecting different patients.
WHO has give new guidelines regarding the usage of injection needles.
It has insisted that all countries have to implement usage of smart needles.
Smart needles have been designed to perform injection only once and cannot be reused. Hence, it is always advisable to use them.
WHO informs that over 17 lakh people were affected by Hepatitis B during 2010. 3 Lakh people were affected with Hepatitis C. Around 33 lakhs were affected with AIDS.
