Dr. A. Sangaran, M.V.Sc., Ph.D., a distinguished academician and researcher from Madras Veterinary College, Chennai, has been elected as the Director of the Asia Pacific Association of Veterinary Parasitology (APAVP) for a tenure of three years. The election took place during the Annual Conference of APAVP held recently at the Le Meridien Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

Dr. Sangaran Arumugam completed his Bachelor of Veterinary Science (1991) from Madras Veterinary College, Chennai. He earned his Master’s (1994) and Ph.D. (1999) in Veterinary Parasitology from the Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS), Chennai.
He currently serves as the Professor and Chair,
