Demand for power crosses over 12, 000 MW in Chennai

The relaxation in the restriction of power on the HT industries, combined with the hot atmosphere throughout Chennai, has now pushed to the peak demand for electricity in the state as an all-time need of 12, 0999 MW. According to the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation- Tangedco,Tangedco is striving to always meet the hiking demand in the state with sufficient power supply. the high demand for the required power was met in particularly during the peak hours in the evening on Wednesday. Though, the previous demand as recorded on August 27, at 7 pm was also met in the state which was, 12, 092.3 MW. Tangedco is striving to always meet the hiking demand in the state with sufficient power supply.
