Night patrols to check out auto rickshaw charges

As a step to check whether the auto rickshaw drivers are adhering to the new auto fares for night time travel, the transport department officials started their night patrols.The crew included flying squads with motor vehicles and a regional transport officer. They all were under night patrol till early morning 5 am.
When enquired to the transport commissioner – T. Prabhakara Rao, he stated that their department received several complaints from the public regarding the random charges by my auto drivers. He added that this is the main reason for their night patrol initiative.
