Major Milestone achieved by ICF Chennai - Production of 1000th DPS coach!!
It was not a normal Sunday yesterday at ICF in Chennai. Integral Coach Factory or ICF in Chennai has made many heads turn now with this sensational achievement.
On Sunday, ICF produced its 1000th DPS coach or distributed power system coach for the current production year 2023-24. It was really a special day because it was the highest number of DPS coaches manufactured by ICF in a production year.
Information gathered is that DPS type of coaches included coaches for VB train sets, Electric Multiple Units or EMU, Mainline Electric Multiple Units or MEMU, Self Propelled Inspection Cars or SPIC and Self Propelled Accident Relief Trains or SPART.
For achieving this special milestone, the staff and officers of ICF were appreciated by the ICF GM Mr. Subba Rao. He spoke about how Indian Railways continue to achieve more milestones through modernisation and providing a quality travel experience to the passengers across India.
