State-level chess tournament for school students

Tamilnadu education department will hold a State-level chess championship in November to promote chess in schools for students in the age group of 7-17 years.
Competition at the school level will start on August 23.Students who secure the first and second places will then have to be sent to the age-appropriate matches at various levels.District-level competition would be held on September 7 and the zonal level one on October 19.
