Coronavirus infection till now has been leading to many deaths in the state of Tamil Nadu. On Friday, 11th March 2022 for the first time since April 2020 no deaths were reported in the state. This has caught the attention of many now. Yesterday, as many as112 persons tested Covid-19 positive in the state.
According to the health secretary Mr. J. Radhakrishnan, since 30th of April 2020 Friday was the first time no deaths have been reported in TN. On 25th of March 2020, TN reported its fort death due to this infection is known. The state till now has reported as many as 38023 deaths due to Coronavirus infection.
It was brought to light by the data from the health department regarding the number of deaths. As per the data, May 2021 registered the highest number of deaths (10186) due to this infection. In the month of June in 2021 as many as8387 deaths were reported. Till now, as many as 9068 persons have passed away due to this infection in Chennai district alone out of the total of 38023 deaths. No fresh cases were reported from 16 out of 38 districts in Tamil Nadu. Chennai reported 42 Covid-19 positive cases followed by Coimbatore with 13 positive cases yesterday. Till now, the entire state has reported nearly 35lakhs Covid-19 positive cases and the number of recoveries have gone above 34lakhs. In the last 24 hours as many as 42241 samples were tested in TN. More than 60000 persons got vaccinated for Covid-19 yesterday alone.
