Tamil Nadu Weatherman shares interesting updates on heavy rains in Chennai

Pradeep John aka Tamil Nadu Weatherman has come up with interesting updates regarding the heavy rains in Chennai and its surrounding districts.
Sambhavam (Event) No.3 of the Season - outer clouds (trailer rains) touching the coast, the heaviest rains will happen from tonight to tomorrow (18th) evening /night for North TN district including Chennai

After Nov 7, Nov 11 and now November 18 event for Chennai is a possibility with the low pressure area located perfectly such that the entire northern convergence falls over the Chennai belt. What ever short burst of rains happening now are just a trailer shows. The real action will start in the night/morning period.

We can see how the massive convergence is happening tomorrow morning over Chennai belt and has now shifted little south too. Right from Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Chengalpet Villupuram, Ranipet and parts of Tiruvannamalai, Cuddalore and Pondy will all see rains as the massive convergence zone is seen even 100-200 kms of the coast too. South Chennai suburbs has some how escaped the last 2 spells, this time they fall right in the path of the rains as a nature balancing act. So widespread rains across north Chennai districts are seen in the west from chennai to Vellore and down south Chennai to Cuddalore belt.

There is one point to be noted, this time the rains are expected to continue heavily in the day time too, even after we come to work tomorrow. If rains happen as predicted by models, those who are expected to travel from low lying areas / flooded roads, are expected to take into this consideration, before they commence their travel. These sambhavams will not end at 3 and more are expected this season.
