Chennai to get rains and thunderstorms for the next 5 days

The weather experts have confirmed that due to the cyclonic circulation over the Bay of Bengal Chennai city and coastal TN would receive rains with thunderstorms in the next 48 hours. It is said that the rains might be there till 22nd of February.
Director of RMC, Chennai Mr. S. Balachandran mentioned that under the influence of cyclonic circulation over southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lankan coast TN and Puducherry would get rains for the next 5 days. On 19th February, thunderstorms with lightning would occur at few isolated places in TN plus in Puducherry and Karaikal. There would be thunderstorms with moderate rains over the coastal districts of TN and Puducherry in the next 24 hours.
The southern districts and districts surrounding the Western Ghats are expected to get light to moderate rains. This was as per some officials. The isolated parts of TN would receive thunder storms in the next 48 hours. In the next 48hours, sky conditions are likely to be cloudy in Chennai. The Chennai city is likely to get thunderstorms along with light to moderate rains. It is brought out that maximum temperature is likely to be around 30 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature is likely to be around 23 degrees Celsius.
