Chennai to have fog and mist - TN to get rains in the next 4 days

Over the next 4 days, southern districts belonging to the state of TN would receive light rains. It is revealed that the city of Chennai would have fog and mist in the wee hours for the next 2 days.

As per Mr. N. Puviarasan, director, Area Cyclone Warning Centre, RMC Chennai, isolated places in TN would get light rains and dry weather would prevail over rest of the TN, Karaikal and Puducherry till 1st February. On 29th January, in the morning hours, shallow fog or mist is likely to occur at isolated places over TN. The condition of the sky is likely to be cloudy and the temperatures would be between 31 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius.

It has been a record breaking month for the rains in Chennai and in TN and rains have now come to an end. The storage in all lakes and reservoirs has improved due to the rains and this is superb news ahead of the upcoming summer season. This was according to some weather bloggers.

Chennai based weather blogger, Mr. Pradeep John mentioned how all the lakes including the newly built Thervoy Kandigai reservoir are full of water. He added that it was one of the best years for Chennai.

For the first time since the year 2015, three lakes namely Puzhal, Chembarambakkam and Poondi over-flowed. Chennai city would not have any water problem for next year. It is known that water is being supplied to Chennai at peak 830 MLD. Information is that there is a quota from Krishna water left too.
