The Examination Department of the Tamil Nadu State Government has announced that it has planned to conduct the 10th Standard Public Examination by 3rd week of June. Further, it was announced that the timetable may be released by end May.
Earlier, the 10th Standard Public Examinations in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry were scheduled to be conducted from 27th March. However, as apreventive action agaist the spread of the raging coronavirus pandemic, public from various sectors appealed to postpone this as a preventive measure.
Subsequently, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E. Palaniswamy announced in the Legislative Assembly that 10th Standards Public Examinations are postponed.
Later, State Minister Sengottaiyan assured that the 10th Standard Public Examinations will definitely be conducted and the timetable will be released after the lockdown concludes! But, as a running 3rd Phase, lockdown has now been extended up to 17th May! So, the question arose whether 10th Standard Public Examinatons will be conducted at all!
In this scenario, the Department of Examinations has released a notification regarding the 10th Standard Public Examination. It mentioned that this may be conducted during the 3rd week of June and there would be 1-day gap between each Public Examination.
