Job Openings: Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board

An announcement has been released regarding the vacant jobs to be filled in various departments in the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board TNPCB).
TNPCB has announced that applications are invited for direct appointment in the posts of Assistant Engineer, Environmental Scientist, Assistants, and typists.
Accordingly, there are 242 vacant posts for which candidates will be selected through online examination.
Assistant Engineer
There are 78 vacant posts. The monthly salary is Rs. 37700 to Rs. 11950.
Academic qualification:
Candidates must be graduates in Civil, Mechanical Engineering or in Environmental Science or may be postgraduates in Civil or mechanical engineering or environmental science.
Environmental Scientist:
There are 70 vacancies. The monthly salary will be Rs. 37700 to Rs. 119500.
Academic Qualification:
Candidates must be postgraduates in any of the following faculties: Chemistry, Biology, Botany, Microbiology, Marine Biology, Biochemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Toxicity Science, Analytical Chemistry, and Applied Chemistry
Junior Assistant:
There are 38 vacancies. The monthly salary is R.s 19500 to Rs. 62000.
Academic Qualification:
Candidates must be a graduate in any faculty of art or science. The candidates must also have a certificate (6-month course) on Computer Application.
Typist:
There are 56 vacancies. The monthly salary is Rs. 19500 to Rs. 62000.
Academic qualifications:
Candidate must be graduates. Candidates must have passed a Higher Grade course in English and Tamil typing. The candidates must also have a certificate (6-month course) on Computer Application.

Age Limit and other conditions
Candidates must be of minimum 18 years of age. In case belonging to Adi Dravida/Mosost Backward, and backward cadres, the upper age limit is 35 years of age. For others, the upper age limit is 30 years of age.
Application Fee
For Adi Dravida, differently-abled, and widows, application fee is Rs. 250. For others, it is Rs. 500.
