Meteorological Centre: Prospects of rain in Chennai Metro city

The Meteorological Centre has announced that the intensity of heat will be much higher today as compared to the last few days in interior districts of Tamil Nadu.
The meteorological centre has also informed that there are prospects of mild rain in some part of the Chennai Metro City.
It has informed that due to the convective rain phenomenon and the impact of the southwest monsoon rainy season, there are prospects of medium rain in the sections in the mountainous Western Ghat range in Coimbatore District. There are prospects of mild rain in the districts of Chennai, Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Villupuram, and others.
Further, the intensity of heat in the interior districts will be much higher than the last few days – it will be 2 degrees Celsius to 4 degrees Celsius higher than the average.
The Chennai Metro City will remain cloudy. There are prospects of rain in some part of the Chennai Metro City. A maximum temperature of 40 Degrees Celsius will be recorded in the Chennai Metro City and a minimum of 29 Degrees Celsius.
