It must be noted that cyclone Fani might not have any direct impact in the state of TN.

The meteorologists have predicted that with the storm moving away from the state of TN Coast, searing heat would make a comeback in the region. The information got is rains have raised hopes of reducing the dire water crisis in the region but the meteorological department officials have dismissed the belief. It is now revealed by the meteorological department officials that the system would not make any landfall anywhere close to the TN coast. In northern parts of TN, there would be rains and this rain would bring huge relief to the people living there. It is well known that the northern TN has been under intense heat over the last week.

It was pointed out by the deputy director general of meteorology, Mr. S. Balachandran that the cyclonic storm Fani might come close to 300 km of TN coast and then re curve in the north-eastwards direction. On Tuesday morning, stormy winds of speeds up to 60 kmph would prevail along and off the TN and Puducherry coast. It is said that winds might become much stronger by Tuesday evening.

Till 1st of May, the sea condition would be rough and the fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea along and off Sri Lanka, Puducherry, TN and south Andhra Pradesh coasts. In Chennai, the presence of cloud cover has kept the temperature close to normal.

Humidity in places like Nungambakkam and Meenambakkam was 87% and 76% respectively and the residents of Chennai had to withstand sultry weather. The temperature that was recorded in Nungambakkam was 35.4 degree Celsius and in Meenambakkam was 36.8 degree Celsius on Monday. The point is because of less moisture and cloud cover the temperature would rise in the coming days.
