Cyclone Gaja will weaken before landfall (Tamil Nadu Weatherman)

Cyclone Gaja completes a weird loop and will start to intensify again in open seas but will weaken a lot before landfall around / between Cuddalore and Vedaranayam on 15th November. This cyclone should not be feared like Vardah or Thane. It will weaken a lot before landfall.

There was an unexpected loop refer the image and the landfall will happen around noon on 15th November around Cuddalore to Vedaranayam region . Some models show taking the landfall to Pamban or Srilanka. Which might not happen. Expecting these models to change the track back again to Cuddalore to Veda belt
As far as Chennai is concerned, rains are now going to spread over the days including pull effect rains. Chennai will get good rains from 14-17th and there is nothing to be feared off from . So dont believe any rumors spread in whatsapp or FB.
The area where Gaja crosses will see extreme rains and some ares in South / Interior Tamil Nadu and ghats will also has chance to see extreme rainfall. Winds will clock 60-80 km/hr occasionally touching 90 km/hr. So not a strong cyclone like Vardah or Thane
Next 15 days is going to be very active days in Tamil Nadu with low pressure expected to come one after another.
