Chennai Rains update (Tamil Nadu Weatherman)

With low pressure expected to form in Bay of Bengal, North West Winds are back the ideal wind direction for rains to happen in Chennai. Meanwhile Rocking September continues in interior district of Tamil Nadu.

Yesterday night the clouds did not move beyond Arakonnam region.
Chennai Rains - It just matter of time that we get rains. Every year September like the May month winds tests our patience. But when ever it rains, it rains will high intensity, thunder and lightening. From Today the synopsis changes with a low expected to form in Bay of Bengal tomorrow. This will strengthen the winds reaching the coast and north west is the favorite wind direction for Chennai for not onlly extreme heat but also for sea breeze associated rains and convective rains with good steering. The sea breeze can now interact with the NW winds in perfect angle. I am sure that in coming days rains in KTC belt will see some action unlike the previous days. Not only that NW winds can result in overhead popups as against favorable sea breeze and it will result in early evening rains too at times. So evening there is chance for us and also in late nights. If not today atleast in next three days we have chance of rains.
Today too all the north interior district such as Vellore, Dharmapuri, Salem, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Thiruvannamalai, Ooty-Kothagiri belt, Perambalur, Salem, Ariyalur, Thanjavur, Sivaganga, Theni, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Pudukottai, Delta region, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Namakkal, Karur, Trichy Pondy and our Chennai have chance of rains. As usual it will be accompanied with typical violent thunders of September.
