It is known that the syllabuses for classes 1, 6, 9 and 11 are new. To get better understanding of the new syllabuses of the above mentioned classes the teachers are now trained through video lessons.

It is now said that the training that was first started at the state level with select group of teachers has now reached district and block level training. This training is imparted by those teachers who were coached in the previous phase. In the next step this process would be making its presence felt at the school levels also.

According to G. Arivoli, who is SCERT director, 82,460 primary teachers, 15,073 middle school teachers plus 74,420 high school teachers and 36,562 higher secondary teachers from both government and government aided schools received training.

Ahead of every training session, a 45 minute introductory video was shown to the teachers. This was confirmed by the officials of SCERT.  This video is about subject experts explaining about why certain aspects were included and how to go about these topics.

These subject experts were part of designing content for the textbooks. An official spoke about the importance of this video lesson and revealed for the sake of motivating the teachers introductory video was shown to them. This video would make the teachers to understand why the content was designed in a given manner. The director of SCERT then explained about how the in-person training was highly effective with content being delivered with 90-100% effectiveness and the effectiveness would not be the same at the schools level. The teachers who handle the trainees were responsible for the varying effectiveness. With each subject, the number of video lessons vary and hence the time taken for the training also. As per an official it is clear that these videos have been introduced to satisfy the learning objective.
