Moderate rain likely in city (Tamil Nadu Weatherman)

The 2nd active spell in west coast are going to start today. The hot spot seems to Goa, Karnataka and Kerala this time with Goa to Kozhikode district with areas such as Mangalore - Udupi - Chikmagalur, Kodagu, Kozhikode, Kasargode and Wayanad getting very heavy rains. Unlike previous spell where it rained on daily basis, this time there may be breaks. As Chikmagalur, Wayanad and Kodagu district are expected to get more rains. Hemavathy, Kabini and KRS dams in Karnataka will see good steady inflow in the next 10 days.
Tamil Nadu Dam and Ghat areas - Good Rains are on cards spread over next 10 days
The last week rains was consistent, the incoming spell wont be of such intensity but still will be good heavy rains. So valparai, region, Nilgiris ghat areas (Devala, Pandalur, Avalanche, Upper Bhavani, Mukurthy) so more flow can be expected into , Tirunelveli Ghat around Papanasam, Gundar, Kodimudiyar, Manjolai areas, Kanyakumari Ghat areas around Pechiparai & Kodayar and Theni Ghat areas around Periyar dam will get good rains and periyar dam can get decent inflows which means Vaigai dam will inturn get water.
Chennai Veppa Salanam Rains - Today chances are good
Yesterday was a miss. Nothing formed and no rains any where and very strong sea breeze was wasted as no clouds intercepted it from landward side. But these things happen and as stated yesterday, if yesterday was a miss, then next day (today) rain chances get brighter. Lets see today how it pans out. Expecting good spell based on the conditions.
