It is known that all over India more than 13 lakh students wrote NEET or National Eligibility Entrance Test on Sunday, 6th of May 2018. The NEET paper had as many as 180 objective type questions of physics, biology and chemistry. While students found chemistry and biology portions easy it is revealed that the physics portions were difficult.

Understanding of concept is very important and those students who understood the concept would be able to fare well in the physics portions. This was confirmed by a student named Rangapriya of Coimbatore. The numerical questions in physics posed many issues for the students. There were as many as 24 questions from class 12 and 21 questions from class 1 in the physics portion. This physics was lengthiest also.

It must be noted that chemistry portions were based on simple concepts and there were equal number of questions from both class 12 and class 11. Biology portions were found to be very easy when compared to physics and chemistry as it had few application based questions. There were as many as 44 questions from class 11 and 46 questions from class 12 in biology.

It is well known that negative markings are present and because of the negative markings many students did not attempt physics part of NEET. A student named Priscilla from Chennai spoke about how she attempted just 8 questions in physics and 35 in chemistry fearing negative markings. She is now hoping that she would be scoring more than 400 marks in NEET 2018. There were few students who did physics portions well.

Mr. Anand Nagarajan who is the academic head for school division, TIME Chennai spoke about how NEET scores in excess of 525 is enough for a student to get placed in top colleges through state based quota. He also spoke about qualifying score around 150 for general candidates.
