Jewellery shop owners strike withdrawn

The central government, in its recent budget, had announced 1 percent Kalal Tax on jeweler items.
Protesting against this, the Gold & Diamond jeweler shop owners Association has been striking for the last 5 days keeping their shops closed demanding withdrawal of this Kalal Tax.
In this scenario, following the central government`s assurance that this demand will be reviewed further and action will be taken.
Based on this assurance, Tamil Nadu Gold & Jewellery Shop Owners Association President Mr. Jayanthilal announced that the strike is being withdrawn.
