Prospects for rain in Ramanathapuram & Thoothukudi districts in the next 24 hours

The depression zone recently formed has moved over towards west and stabilised over the Southwest Bay of Bengal.
Hence, Chennai Meteorological Centre has announced that there are prospects for heavy rains in the districts of Ramanathapuram & Thoothukudi.
The meteorological centre has also informed that there may be widespread rains in several places across the southern coast areas.
As winds are supposed to blow at a speed of 45 to 55 km per hour in southern coastal areas, Chennai Meteorological Centre has warned the fishermen to take caution.
