Subways in the city were completely inundated. An MTC bus was stuck at Duraisamy Subway near Ranganathan Street in T. Nagar. The subway at Ganga Nagar was also completely waterlogged. Pictures were posted on social media and many mistook the subways for dams.
One side of the main road in Pallikaranai was full of water. MTC buses were seen braving the floods. People waded through calf deep water in the area.
