Co-operative shops (markets) will not have holiday on Sunday

All co-operative supermarkets and shops administered by Tamil Nadu Consumers Trading Corporation will remain open on Sunday, 1st November with sales of Bengal-gram.

Bengal-gram is being sold in 2 packets - 0.5 kg sold at Rs. 55/- and 1 kg sold at Rs. 110/-will be available from Sunday, 1st November.

Sales of Bengal-gram will be conducted in all cooperative stores and Tamil Nadu Consumer Trading Corporation shops (a total of 91 shops in Chennai, Coimbatore, Trichy, and Madurai).

Cooperative stores like Chinthamani & Amudham total 71. TUCS cooperative stores total 20. All cooperative stores were given holidays on Sundays. TUCS shops will remain open on the 1st 2 Sundays of the month.

Since special sales of Bengal-gram is scheduled, cooperative departmental stores will all remain open on Sunday, 1st November.

Hence, public can buy Bengal-gram at a lower price on 1st November itself without any problems.
